The Thriller bass line was made on an ARP 2600, not a Minimoog. But sounds great! The low-note priority feature, is why they went with an ARP. The 2600 has a double trigger, rather than the single trigger of the Model D. ARP ripped off Moog’s ladder filter, so the sound is quite similar.

I'm curious if what you do in the Arpeggiator section can be sent out via midi to an analog hardware synth for instance.

I’ve noticed that in Meld the LFO will abruptly stop its modulation as soon as you are no longer triggering a note. In other words, the LFO has no release. Do you know of a way to provide a release to the LFO, so that it doesn’t immediately stop as soon as I’m no longer triggering a note?

Could you tell me i've changed from 1.3.2 to .1.4.6 and i used to launch it threw FL so i tried on my new desktop load my older projcts and it seems FL cant recognise fm8 so i guess it cant be loaded from newer one i have Can it be resolved idk?

Great video. Some features you explained got me all excited, but really, I don’t do much sound design - mainly just use presets. However, part of me wants to tackle fm synthesis ever since I played my first DX7 in the 80s. The depth of synths and sampled instruments in Komplete 14 is over-whelming at times. These legacy synths like FM8, Forms, Reacktor are often over looked and yet, they can create some amazing sounds. 😊

how do you guys do your expressions with kontakt instruments? I have a oriental strings library, which has “heart of violins” expression (Crescendo Decrescendo). Linking Midi cc11 to the mod wheel is suppose to do the job, but the way fl studio is, it doesn’t work as it should. When i link the cc11 it just does the regular dynamics like how it would be with orchestral libraries. Even the image line employees from the forum admitted that what im trying to do isnt so simple & even if i get a expression pedal it wont work. They say its possible with patcher but thats another headache of its own.

This is a beautiful system, from the time when eurorack modules were all silver. I would guess it was built around 2012/2013, judging by the modules used. I am surprised there were no Make Noise modules in this build.

Fave things that I’ve seen in Meld so far are the texture generators (vinyl, rain, bubble) and then that polyphonic gliss mode locked to scale. Those I’ll actually use, but that may be it.
